Convicted Pinay Nanny, Pardoned

May Vecina, the Filipina nanny working in Kuwait, has been granted full pardon by the Kuwaiti ruler.
May Vecina was convicted guilty of killing the 7-year-old Salem Sulaiman Al-Otaib and guilty of attempting to kill the 13-year-old Abdulla by slitting the boy’s throat, and 17-year-old Hajer by stabbing her, on January 6, 2007. The three are children of her employer.
She was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Kuwaiti Emir on July 8, 2008. And early this month, she was granted full pardon due to her good behavior while in jail. (Sustines Laplana)
