@Adonis don’t you think the congressman is not aware of these “constituents needs” youre ranting about as for VP Binay are you saying that VP’s have no right to give out suggestions??? Also don’t you think this project demands budget and a huge one in fact… Let me also remind you that it is not in the power of the Gov. Vice Gov. Congressman ect… to Instantly provide the budget for such projects these budgeting goes under the department of budget and management but not to this department alone you also have Pnoy to sign the budget with out those they cannot do anything agree? Why does Even Maasin need an airport when maasin does not even have a decent ferry system most people from maasin can only afford a ferry ticket. Why do we need an airport? THE ECOTOURISM INDUSTRY IN SOUTHERN LEYTE WILL NOT PROSPER IF THE ATTITUDE OF THE PEOPLE WILL BE LIKE THESE.

The road was purposely constructed as an access road to the Dive Site / Fish Sanctuary – the Hotel was located infront of the DS/FS

The road was constructed accidentally towards the Hotel because the land owners on which the actual route refuse to give the road right of way.

Which is more “sinful” – an organization who help community to protect and sustain marine resources or private people and some officials who illegally encroach the DS/FS and gather the clams, groupers and other fish to feed the visitors and earn money ( what a greed)

The presence of CCC in Napantao is a deterrent to illegal fishers and some officials thus there are exerting efforts to kick out this people out of Napantao.

CCC trained us (SCUBA Dive Training) without any cost – food, SCUBA equipments, instructors, PADI certification cards and a short stay in the base.

They even trained San Franciscohanons to become a PADI DIVE MASTER without any cost except PADI Certifications.

They trained children , as REEF RANGERS, to protect and sustain our Marine Resources.

The money in which the volunteer contribute to the CC is intended for the food, SCUBA equipments, trainors and other incidental expenses.

The cost of diving in Padre Burgos dive site is P 1,800.00 inclusive for equipments and boat service. Hotel rooms not included.

The CCC people will pay dive fees when they will dive in the DS/FS.

What a shame to those people accusing NGO’s for making Napantao as their investment.

SAN FRANCISCO BENEFITED THE PRESENCE OF CCC IN THEIR AREA.

In my opinion, the eco-tourism industry of Southern Leyte will not prosper if this attitude will prevail in the minds of the populace more especially to the LGU Officials.
I was trained by CCC as SCUBA Divemaster without a single centavo from my pocket – SCUBA Equipments, Instructors PADI License and food , except PADI Dive Master License.
Actually , the presence of CCC in Napantao is beneficial to Eco-friendly people but a threat to illegal fishers.
