5 Treasure Hunter in Bataan Died

Bataan – 5 hunters of the Yamashita treasure in Bataan died by suffocation while inside the 60 feet tunnel in Sitio Ariada, Barangay Alangan, Bataan.

The victims were identified as Angelito Mariano, Sr., his son Angelito, Jr., Vener Bermillo, Luisito Caparas, and one Richard del Pilar.
According to the investigators, the hunters were using a gasoline driven water pump inside the tunnel. The engine normally emits carbon monoxide which was believed to be cause of their suffocation.
Rescuers successfully got the unconscious hunters out but were declared dead upon arrival in the hospital.

Kris Aquino, the youngest sister of the President, filed the petition, August 9, to nullify the marriage to James Yap. Kris’s lawyers did not divulge the grounds of the petition filed at the Makati Family Court but there were reports that the basis of the petition was “lack of authority of the solemnizing officer“.

ABS-CBN announced Tuesday that the new program “Pilipinas For The Win” will replace Wowowee. The new show will start to air this July 31, 2010, Saturday, with the main hosts, Kris Aquino and Robin Padilla. However, on Wednesday, TV Patrol World reported that the new program is called “Pilipinas Win na Win”. Insider said that the “Pilipinas For The Win” has the initial PFTW in which if read in reverse, it will be WTFP where WTF (What The F**k) is an expression commonly used by many.

Divers of the Philippine coast guard discovered two sources of oil leaking the underwater pipe of Petron Depot in Rosario, Cavite. The leak was caused by the anchor of a ship hit by the strong winds of Typhoon Basyang few days ago.
During the inspection done by the Philippine Coast Guard divers, they found a pipe-cut of about 1-foot long and a broken chain connected to an anchor. Authorities believed that the anchor belong to M/T Baliwag owned by Herma Shipping.
